Who is Acacia Groves and what's their relationship to CargoHome?

Acacia Groves is the distribution arm for CargoHome. As CargoHome looks to continuous innovation of its design and engineering and works toward continuous gains in production efficiencies, Acacia Groves looks to continuous development of go-to-market approaches and meeting the complex business needs of the industries it strives to serve.

Together, we work to compliment ones efforts in pioneering the open territory known as the Future of Construction, described as a future where modular and prefabricated building techniques hedge against the conventional challenges facing tradition construction models.

What can I expect a CargoHome to cost?

Because we are a custom builder, the pricing depends on the design and finish options desired by each client. We service the higher end of clients in our industry with the use of quality materials, solid engineering and finer finish options.

By way of ballpark pricing, our 20' are over $70,000 and our 40' units exceed $120,000. Please note: Any estimated pricing or quotes— provided in the past, now, or in the future, unless otherwise stated— expire 30 days from the time of issuance.

For more specific pricing for your desired CargoHome project, please fill out this form, so we can better understand your project's parameters and use case.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes, we offer volume discounts for larger projects, since we can gain efficiencies on our manufacturing floor as we scale for larger orders. By filling out THIS FORM, we can explore design and pricing options for your development. It's one of our favorite things to do! We look forward to traveling this path with you in whatever measure.

What is the turnaround time on CargoHome orders?

There are two factors to consider on this front.

1.) There is the actual production time, which we call a build cycle. Historically, our build cycles turnaround units in 8 weeks to 12 weeks.

2.) There is the queue for production, which we refer to as our production schedule. Our production schedule can be booked two to three months out, but we have been able to slip in orders as quickly as two to four weeks.

If you have an urgent project, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and we will see how we can help expedite things.

Can you build modularly?

Yes, we often receive referrals from other container builders, because we build modularly and can configure containers and engineer them together to create unique livable structures within reasonable parameters that uphold solid structural engineering principles.

Modularity is becoming more and more our strong suit and setting us apart in the industry. We have set our sights on establishing ourselves as a leader in this area of construction, popularly becoming known as the Future of Construction. It is our company's intention to be a leader in this growing segment to meet the increasing demands on the construction industry today and into the future.

Do you deliver your homes anywhere in the U.S?

We have happy clients from California to Washington, D.C. We are happy to help you coordinate logistics and transportation from our manufacturing plant to wherever your development site is located. We keep our building dimensions within the specification thresholds to avoid needing special permits for transportation.

Who have you built for?

From REIT's to single homeowners, we have hundreds of homes installed and live in the field. Some clients are so large, we're not allowed to talk about them (NDA stuff-- you understand, right?).

Do you coordinate everything for my project?

DO COORDINATE: We handle the design and engineering of your CargoHome housing or office unit, it's construction, and help coordinate its delivery to your project site.

DO NOT COORDINATE: We do not handle the site specific work; you will need a general contractor and tradesmen to provide the proper infrastructure to receive your CargoHome. You will also be responsible for permits, if any are required for your particular jurisdiction. However, we are happy to assist in answering any questions or providing information required for the permitting process.

What is the process to buy a CargoHome?

STEP #1: BECOME INFORMED & SHARE YOUR VISION

Read through the FAQ's. Then, fill out this form and tell us about your project. We will reach out to you within an hour to take next steps to explore options together.

STEP #2: INITIAL CONSULTATION

Schedule a 15-minute project briefing and Q & A call, where we hope to answer your questions, not answered in the FAQ's. We will respond to any actions items that arose from our first meeting and ensure you have the information necessary to take next steps.

STEP #3: 2D DESIGN PHASE ($180 Consultation & Drafting Fee)

Request a 2D Design Consultation & Drafting Session, which will produce 2D floor plan and pricing estimate for your CargoHome(s). Review and request any modifications (up to 3 drafts- original plus two revisions) to your floor plan.

STEP #4: 3D DESIGN PHASE ($2,800 Consultation & Drafting Fee)

Once the 2D Design and Estimate are approved, we move into the 3D design phase that generates a 3D rendering of your home. This allows you to view your home, take a 3D walkthrough if you'd like and make any changes to your design. This phase also produces the engineering plans for your CargoHome that will be used by CargoHome's manufacturing team to ensure quality assurance and expedite the production of your home or office. Although these plans take considerable time to produce, it helps us meet our clients expectations and manage our production team to do the same. This phase will also generate a quote for your projects, inclusive of all of the custom details for your project.

STEP #5: SECURE YOUR PLACE IN OUR PRODUCTION SCHEDULE

Once the 3D Design and Quote are approved, we generate the Purchase and Construction Agreement. At signing, your price and place in our production queue are locked in. This is a great advantage over what we hear from many clients, who have encountered a cost-plus model with other contractors, where the price of building increases ever upwards throughout the construction process.

Will my CargoHome arrive wired, plumbed and with pre-installed HVAC?

Yes! In fact, our single container units arrive ready to be plugged into your utilities and go live. However, you will need your tradesmen (presumably, licensed in your local jurisdiction) to tie your CargoHome into your onsite utility services. Additionally, our units come with mini split A/C systems with heat pumps, which come pre-charged on our single container units.

For larger builds, comprised of multiple containers, the electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems must be tied together, once the units are assembled, sealed and completed onsite.

May I come tour your factory and see some models?

Absolutely, yes! We would love the opportunity to show you around, showcase our product and explore possibilities for your project. Tours are by-appointment only for qualified visits, so we can ensure to have a team member onsite, who can walk you safely throughout the premises and answer your questions knowledgeably.

If you're visiting from out of town and plan to stay the night, we have options available through a local vacation rental company, VillaStay, to stay in a CargoHome model in the area.

If fact, we have coordinated with VillaStay to create an Acacia Groves Getaway program, where we are able to offer you a discount and will apply the cost of your stay with VillaStay (up to two nights) toward your purchase of your CargoHome (terms and conditions apply).
